| In
1997, the Ivrea-based CNC Division of Rockwell Automation Italy parted from
the Rockwell Group and became an Independent company operating under the
name of OSAI Srl. The new Company is totally focused on the CNC business,
developing, producing, servicing and marketing a large range of products
for the CNC and Automation Markets.
Through our direct sales organisation and local dealers, we are committed to maintaining a full continuity of support for 8600 and 10/series systems including those previously sold by Rockwell Automation. OSAI is also committed to enhancing and developing its CNC products and technology in the future, our focus being totally on the Numerical Control field. Co-operation between our Company and Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley) is continuing through the service and support areas: in particular, Rockwell Automation is committed to repair and part service in North America for all previous and future OSAI product installations. In addition to this, OSAI has recently opened a local Office in the USA, dedicated to giving local support to End-users and OEMs in North America. This organisation will offer Diagnostics, Field Service and training, to give more effective and focused support in the local area and same time zone. This new office will also interface with Rockwell Automation for service and support to optimise and improve response time. The objective of this organisation is to complement the Rockwell Automation service network which, through its structure and logistic organisation, is specially tuned for Part Service and Repair. This office will also be able to develop direct sales in the USA, which will contribute towards increasing the awareness of the OSAI brand name in the North American Market. This in turn will support the sales in the USA of European OEMS, adopting our CNCs. The person appointed to take responsibility for the new organisation is Mr. Steve Phillips, former Sales Manager of OSAI-UK, Steve has been with the company for more than 10 years, so has a great deal of experience on the Osai product range. |
