ABOUT US OSAI History
OSAI has been manufacturing CNC controls since 1957. OSAI began within the machine tool division of Olivetti. Over time the group tied closer links with Allen Bradley/Rockwell, the American leader in industrial automation, until it became a part of the Rockwell Group. OSAI manufacturerd the Allen Bradley 8600 and 8601 CNC controls. In 1997 OSAI split from Rockell and returned to being an independant company. OSAI continued to build on the previous success, with steady growth over the next ten years. In 2007 OSAI was aquired by PRIMA ELECTRONICS S.p.A. and has now become one of the major worldwide CNC and automation system providers.
OSAI, as an integral part of Prima Electronics has greater resources available for R & D, product development and sales / marketing allowing us to build on the success already achieved. A key benefit is the reduced time needed to bring new products to market place, which gives us a big advantage in these very changeable times we now live in.
